PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out cutting motion of a wire electric discharge machine without having influence upon discharge motion of a waste wire electrode to the utmost by extending lifetime of a blade and using it almost maintenance-free. SOLUTION: This waste wire cutting device is constituted of a wire delivery means to deliver a waste wire electrode (w) to the side of a wire cutting means 2, a guiding means 5 to guide the waste wire electrode (w) delivered by it to the wire cutting means 2 and the wire cutting means 2 to cut the waste wire electrode (w) guided by it, the wire cutting means 2 is constituted of a fixed blade member 2b, a rotary blade member 2a arranged coaxially and making contact with it and a driving motor 2al to rotate and drive it, and an introduction hole 2b1 furnished with a blade part on its outlet part is constituted by drilling it through to introduce the waste wire electrode (w) on the fixed blade member 2b, a drilled through slot 2a5 is formed along a circular arc locus passing through on the blade part of the specified introduction hole 2b1 of the fixed blade member in rotating the rotary blade member 2a on the rotary blade member 2a, and the blade part is formed on an inlet part of each of the slots 2a5.
