PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishhook where a bent part is formed at the front of a shaft part and a circular part is formed at the basal end of the shaft part and a connective ring (normally referred to as a split ring) is easily joined to the circular part. SOLUTION: The fishhook is such that the bent part 2 is formed at the front of the shaft part 1 and the circular part 3 is formed at the basal end of the shaft part 1, wherein a thin-walled part 4 is formed by cutting and removing part of the inner circumference of the circular part 3. In this case, the thin-walled part 4 is removed at 1/3 to 3/5 time the shaft diameter by circularly cutting around the circular part 3. Thereby, the connective ring can be joined to the circular part without highly widening the steel wire spacing of the connective ring, and the inner diameter of the circular part becomes larger as well, thus enabling the fishhook to be smoothly moved relative to the connective ring.
