A tube pump, an ink jet recording device using the tube pump, and an ink feeding method. The tube pump comprises an elastic tube (14), a circular arc-shaped guide member (16) guiding the tube (14), and at least one pressing member (15) pressing the tube (14) against the guide member (16). The tube pump is characterized in that a recessed portion (17) allowing the tube (14) to come therein without being pressed by the pressing member (15) is formed in a part of the guide member (16). Thus, since a negative pressure in an ink feed passage (7) is relieved when a main tank (5) is replaced, the entry of air into the ink feed passage (7) can be easy avoided.
