<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device information management apparatus and the method capable of not causing a mismatching between a setting of device and setting-information needed by users and of being safely operated even if the setting information in the device is rewritten. <P>SOLUTION: A client application performs a changing of the setting of client's side based on the changed device information by the steps comprising a step of transmitting the device information to the device-information management apparatus with the operation tool of the management apparatus, a step of a device-information changing section performing a changing of the device information, a step of a notice-address table management section searching the client to whom the change of the device information being required to be notified from the notice-address table, a step of a client communication-processing section transmitting the notice of the change of the device information to the searched client, a step of the client application transmitting the demand of the device information to the device-information management apparatus and a step of the client communication-processing section transmitting the changed device information to the client. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
