<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver capable of preventing oscillation of an reverse bias voltage and easily restoring the reverse bias voltage with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This optical receiver 1 is provided with an APD (avalanche photodiode) 6 for generating a current I<SB>APD</SB>corresponding to a signal light O<SB>in</SB>; a DC-DC converter 2 for supplying a voltage V<SB>SET</SB>to the APD 6; and a voltage control circuit 14 having a current detecting means 13 for detecting a current value I<SB>APD</SB>of a current thereof, and a voltage setting means 12 for setting the voltage V<SB>SET</SB>. The means 12 derives a strength P<SB>0</SB>of the signal light O<SB>in</SB>on the basis of the voltage value V<SB>SET</SB>of the voltage thereof and current value I<SB>MON</SB>, and controls the voltage value V<SB>SET</SB>on the basis of a variation amount of the strength P<SB>0</SB>of the signal light O<SB>in</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
