PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of a recording medium cartridge and improve the reliability of an eject operation from a holder of the recording medium cartridge. SOLUTION: An eject lever 37 supported on one side surface 101b of the holder 8 in a manner which allows the eject lever 37 to freely move in a direction in which the recording medium cartridge is inserted and ejected, and an energizing spring 48 for energizing the eject lever in the eject direction, are provided. The eject lever is formed with a supported surface 40 which is supported by the one side surface of the holder, and an engagement protruding portion 42 which is inserted into an engagement groove 104 formed at the recording medium cartridge and protruding from the supported surface and engaged with an engagement portion 105 formed in the engagement groove. When the recording medium cartridge is inserted into the holder, the eject lever is moved in the insert direction as the recording medium cartridge is moved in the holder. The eject lever is moved in the eject direction with the engagement protruding portion engaged with the engagement portion of the recording medium cartridge, whereby the recording medium cartridge is ejected from the holder.
