PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the high speed operation of a file access as regards an information processor, an information processing method, and a program. SOLUTION: LBA (logical block addressing) management information for storing information showing the leading sector (LBA) and size of each of the segments of a file is prepared so that not only file management by a normal FAT file system but also file management by this LBA management information can be executed. As regards a file where the LBA management information is present in performing file access, the reading of file data is realized not by referring to an FAT region but by reading data by segment units according to the leading sector (LBA) and size shown by the LBA management information.
