PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for reproducing compressed audio signal capable of performing very fast-forwarding/rewinding processing to a compressed audio signal which has never been reproduced, when performing the fast-forwarding/fast-rewinding processing to a compressed audio signal to which frame length information is not added as a frame header. SOLUTION: A signal reproduction part 10 is provided with a signal reproduction part 101 for reproducing in frame units the compressed audio signal with a frame structure which does not include the frame length in header information, and is further provided with a position information acquisition part 102 for acquiring frame position information of a frame to be reproduced by the signal reproduction part 101 after a frame being reproduced before reproduction processing by the signal reproduction part 101, and storing the frame position information in a frame position information table 103. The reproduction processing by the signal reproduction part 101 and the acquisition processing of the frame position information by the position information acquisition part 102 are carried out in parallel.
