PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectacle stand avoiding a danger of breaking spectacles, whose conventional case has a troublesome structure for a user when taking in/out the spectacles therefrom, the user often puts on the spectacles by a bed side when sleeping without putting them in the case, and if someone steps thereon by an oversight, there is a danger of breaking the spectacles. SOLUTION: This spectacle case is disposed with a rectangular parallelepiped case 1 with a U-shaped groove for storing the spectacles 3, and a trapezoidal base 2 for mounting the spectacles 3 at the center of the groove in the perpendicular direction to the groove. When using this stand, the user holds the both ends of the spectacles 3, which are taken off from the face and folded, with the both hands, and puts the recessed part of the nose pads on the trapezoidal base 2 with the spectacles 3 folded. The spectacles 3 are thus stored in the U-shaped groove and protected by the case 1, so that even if being stepped on, the spectacles 3 are prevented from being broken. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
