<p>The invention relates to a mortise lock in which the bolt extends automatically into the extended position. The inventive lock comprises: a trigger support (7), a bolt-retaining bar (8), a bar-retaining tumbler (9), a rocker (10), a latch (11) and a panic arm (12). According to the invention, the aforementioned trigger support (7) is equipped with means for blocking the operational vertical sliding movement of the bolt-retaining bar (8) which can slide vertically by means of gravity between an upper position and a lower position which correspond respectively to the retracted and extended bolt (1) configurations. In addition, the bolt-retaining bar (8) is also equipped with: coupling means which operate together with the bar-retaining tumbler (9); other means which operate together with means associated with the trigger (3), which can block the operational vertical sliding movement thereof; other means for retaining the bolt (1) in the retracted configuration, which operate together with a first lug (13) of the bolt strike plate (1a); and other means for the reciprocal movement of the lug (13) of the bolt strike plate (1a).</p> |
