<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device capable of suitably selecting strength of light irradiating an area to be photographed with a simple construction against an observation device having wide-ranged photographing magnification. <P>SOLUTION: On the light irradiation device provided with a ring-shaped main body part having an opening at central part and a plurality of LEDs 2 arranged on upper part of the ring-shaped main body part so as to locate on a plurality of circles with an axial line of the ring-shaped main body part as a center, having different diameter from each other, the LEDs are arranged so as to have a prescribed inclination toward the axial line of the ring-shaped main body part. Out of the LEDs 2, the LEDs 2 arranged on an identical circles have an identical directivity, further, the LEDs 2 arranged on the circles adjacent to each other are made to have different directivity.
