<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture needle for an endoscope capable of preventing an unexpected projection of a needle member. <P>SOLUTION: This puncture needle 10 for the endoscope is provided with a sheath 12 having flexibility, the needle member 14 extractably/retractably disposed inside the sheath 12, a wire 50 provided at the proximal end of the needle member 14 and extracting/retracting the needle member 14 along the axial direction of the sheath 12, and an operation part 16 connected to the proximal side of the sheath 12 and operating the wire 50.
