PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform wavelength selection processing with high accuracy by a wavelength selective optical filter in an optical wavelength selective control apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a wavelength selecting unit 1A to extract an optical signal of at most m of wavelengths (m is a natural number satisfying 1<m<N) from wavelength multiplexed optical signals at N of wavelengths (N is a natural number of≥2) according to a frequency signal for selecting a wavelength; m of frequency oscillators 2a-1 to 2a-m for outputting the frequency signal; a controlling unit 3A to individually control the frequency of the frequency signal outputted from the frequency oscillators 2a-1 to 2a-m; and m of stopping units 4a-1 to 4a-m that can stop outputting the frequency signal from the frequency oscillators 2a-1 to 2a-m. While frequencies of the frequency signal outputted from the frequency oscillators 2a-1 to 2a-m are altered, the controlling unit 3A controls the stopping units 4a-1 to 4a-m to stop outputting the frequency signal.
