PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a vending machine so that a bottle and a canned commodity delivered from a commodity storage rack will be sent out to a commodity outlet in standing positions with taps up. SOLUTION: In order to send out a bottle and a canned commodity 8 delivered from the commodity rack 4 inside a cabinet to the commodity outlet 7 in standing positions, a commodity carrying mechanism is composed of a belt conveyer type lateral carrying mechanism 9 which carries the commodity 8 delivered from the rack mounted in the inverted position; a rotary bucket 10 for housing the commodity received from the end of the lateral carrying mechanism; an elevator type vertical carrying mechanism 12 which is loaded with a bucket holder 11, and carries by lifting it to the commodity outlet; a commodity detection part 13 for detecting the arrival and the direction of carrying position of the commodity carried to the end position of the lateral carrying mechanism; and a bucket rotation control part 14 for changing the position of the bucket from the lateral direction to the vertical direction based on the detection information from the detection means so that the commodity housed in the bucket 10 will be carried vertically with its tap directed upward in the standing position toward the commodity outlet 7.
