摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply circuit, which supplies a voltage to facing electrodes in accordance with gradation characteristics at low power consumption, without adversely affecting the image quality, a display driver, an electro-optical device, an electronic equipment and a control method of the power supply circuit. SOLUTION: A power supply circuit 100 includes a high-potential side voltage generating circuit which generates a high-potential side voltage, a low-potential side voltage generating circuit which generates a low-potential side voltage and a switching circuit 130 which alternatively supplies one of the high-potential side voltage and the low-potential side voltage to the opposing electrodes as an opposing electrode voltage. The power supply circuit 100 conducts supply capability control of the facing electrode voltage in which at least one of the followings is changed, i.e., the current drive capability and the output voltage level of the high-potential side voltage generating circuit and the low-potential side voltage generating circuit, according to the total sum value being generated, based on the gradation data equivalent to the number of dots of one scanning line. The total sum value is obtained by successively adding each conversion voltage value, which is obtained by converting each gradation data of the gradation data equivalent to the number of dots of one scanning line, corresponding to the given gradation characteristics.
