<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid member with a hot water draining function which is made of paper as a base material, has no problem on hot water draining properties, and exhibits less remaining of hot water when the hot water is drained. <P>SOLUTION: A container for food is made by sealing a lid member having an approximately the same outer shape as that of an opening part of a container body and having a knob for unsealing and a knob for opening a hot water draining opening, on the opening part of the container body. The lid material 10 is made by laminating an inner face base material 11 and a surface base material 12 through an adhesive 13. The inside of the surface base material is partitioned into a releasing region A coated with a releasing agent 14 and a non-releasing region B adjoining the releasing region. On an overlapping part of the inner face base material to the releasing region of the adhesive layer, a half cut line (a) for forming the hot water draining opening is formed in a range from the inner face base material to the adhesive layer. In addition, the knob for the hot water draining opening is provided on the releasing region side in the vicinity of the boundary line between the non-releasing region and the releasing region arranged so as to adjoin the releasing region.
