<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the viewing and listening of a harmful program to a child and at the same time to enable viewing and listening to a useful program at the timing for viewing and listening confinement. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 18 reproduces the useful program saved in a video recording reproducing unit 40, and displays on the screen of a TV monitor 15 when the receiving program corresponds to the harmful program as a result of retrieving EPG data from that the result authenticated by a personal authentication unit 26 is the child for which the viewing and listening confinement is set beforehand based on a televiewer's face image photoed by a camera unit 25.
