PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coagulating and dewatering sludge and a method for coagulating and precipitating wastewater, each of which can cope widely with fluctuations of the property and state of sludge or wastewater, in each of which a coagulant is hardly deteriorated and each of which has excellent practicality. SOLUTION: A continuous dissolution and supply apparatus 1 is used which is equipped with two or more storage tanks 2, 3 for storing two or more types of powdery polymer coagulants separately, feeders 4, 5 being connected to the storage tanks 2, 3 and capable of controlling an amount of a feed, a mixing tank 6 having a water-supply pump, and a filtering member 8. With use of the apparatus 1, a powdery polymer coagulant in storage tank 2, 3 is supplied to the mixing tank 6 via the feeder 4, 5, the polymer coagulant is mixed with water in the mixing tank 6 to prepare a dispersion, the dispersion is caused to pass through the filtering member 8 to thereby prepare an aqueous solution of the coagulant and the aqueous coagulant solution is added to sludge or wastewater.
