A field of nozzles supplies and removes hot gas. In the immediate vicinity of each hot gas inlet, there are numbers of gas outlets. The influx of gas heats a surface convectively. The gas is then extracted through the outlets. The total influx of hot gas, corresponds with the total efflux of extracted gas. The nozzle field is in the form of a matrix in which the sum of all the mass of gases arriving and leaving is constant. The nozzle field is adjacent to the surface o of the material being heated. The proximity of each field of the matrix is adjustable as a register. The flow in each matrix field is in closed circuit, the gases making an 180[deg] turn. The total flow over the heated surface is divided into sectional flows. The convection zone consists of a heating gas line at 70[deg] - 90[deg] to the heated surface, and a suction opening at its side, where a reduced pressure is exerted. The heated material and the nozzle field are in relative motion; the material is conveyed at constant velocity during heating. For heat loss prevention only surfaces covered by the heated material are switched on or off or covered. Conveying takes place on a net, grid or gas-permeable conveyor belt. An independent claim is included for corresponding heating equipment.
|
