<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a print result satisfying a set output paper thickness by recognizing that an output paper thickness will exceed a thickness intended by a user before starting printing. <P>SOLUTION: When a printing format including an output paper thickness is set for a print job, a printer driver 303 calculates the thickness of a stack of paper output by the execution of the print job according to preset paper-specific reference thickness information, and if determining that the calculated stack thickness exceeds the set output paper thickness, changes the printing format information set for the print job such that the stack thickness does not exceed the output paper thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
