<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bat for baseball or softball which can be swung by a player as he/she likes while suppressing reducing of a flying distance of a ball. <P>SOLUTION: The bat 1 for baseball or softball has a tip part 2, a ball-hitting part 3, a tapered part 4, a grip part 5 and a grip end 6. When a distance from the grip end 6 to the center of gravity position is ≥500 mm and ≤550 mm, a moment of inertia around the center of the gravity is designated to be ≥300 kg/m<SP>2</SP>and ≤430 kg/m<SP>2</SP>. When the distance from the grip end 6 to the center of gravity position is ≥450 mm and ≤500 mm, a moment of inertia around the center of the gravity is designated to be ≥450 kg/m<SP>2</SP>and ≤750 kg/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
