PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of electrolyte solution leak of a battery capable of appropriately deciding the existence of electrolyte solution leakage, without affecting battery characteristics, and to provide a manufacturing method of a battery, and a battery. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the battery comprises a coating process (step 1) of coating phosphor (liquid leak indicator containing fluorescein) which emits fluorescence by being irradiated with given light (ultraviolet rays) under the presence of the electrolyte solution at least at a part of the surface of a battery case 110, and a liquid leakage detecting process (steps S2 to S9) of irradiating the given light (ultraviolet rays), at least on a coated part 120 coated with the phosphor (liquid leakage indicator containing fluorescein) and deciding the existence of leakage of the electrolyte solution from fluorescence emitted from the coated part 120.
