PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize light weight and miniaturization by a simple structure, to effectively utilize a purged hydrogen gas, to exactly grasp the state in the periphery of a vehicle in parking, passing each other with an oncoming vehicle on a narrow road, avoiding an obstacle or the like, to exactly grasp the road surface condition at a front side, the state of a traffic signal, the state of an intersection, the traffic condition or the like, and to easily and safely perform driving of the vehicle without feeling anxiety on the part of a driver. SOLUTION: The situation monitoring system for the vehicle has: a fuel cell stack mounted on the vehicle in which fuel cells holding an electrolyte layer between a fuel electrode and an oxygen electrode are superposed while holding a separator formed with a fuel gas flow passage along the fuel pole in between; a purging means for purging a fuel gas in a fuel gas flow passage; a flight object mounted with a photographing device, launched from the vehicle and recovered by the vehicle; and a display device mounted on the vehicle and displaying an image photographed by the photographing device.
