摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer capable of preventing deformation by steam when heating and preventing intrusion of water from the outside while utilizing advantages of multiply wound outer cylinder itself such as ease of manufacture and a radiation sound damping function. SOLUTION: This silencer having an outer cylinder made of a metallic plate member 7 wound in a plurality of layers is constituted by welding W2 a winding start end part 7a of the plate member 7 and the plate member 7 a with which the winding start end part 7a comes into contact in the direction of generated line continuously and joining the plate member 7 with which a winding terminal part 7c comes into contact and a winding terminal part 7c of the plate member 7 in the direction X-X of the generated line by intermittent welding W3.
