PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical treatment bed which allows a patient to empty the bowels in a comfortable posture with its bed backrest being at a tilt position, and at the other times than evacuating the bowels, to stay in a more natural and comfortable position for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This medical treatment bed is provided with; an inverse-projection-shaped backrest part 1, for supporting the upper half body of the patient, including a central buttock part 11 for supporting the buttock of the patient, integrally formed with the backrest part 1 on a level as its projecting part from the lower edge of the backrest part 1; a central footrest part 21 partitioned by the same width as the central buttock part; and its right and left foot outer side parts extending from the lower edge of the backrest part 1 to the bed lower end along the central footrest part 21 in between, the latter two of which are partitioned into an H shape. The backrest part can be tilted upward, with its lower edge excluding the projecting part working as a support shaft 3, and stopped at a prescribed angle. This medical treatment bed is also provided with a seesaw-like tilt return means which enables the repeated tilting and returning movements, and a sliding means which allows the central footrest part to slide in the direction toward the bed lower end up to the position where a line connecting the lower edge of the central buttock part and the end face of the butting part of the backrest part of the central footrest part on the bed backrest side forms an approximately right angle when the backrest part is at the maximum tilted position.
