PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new VGF polypeptides (secreted polypeptides found in neurons and endocrine cells) and selective binding agents, to provide VGF pharmaceutical compositions, and to provide methods for the diagnosis, treatment, amelioration, and/or prevention of diseases, conditions, and disorders associated with VGF polypeptides. SOLUTION: The VGF polypeptides having specific sequences, the VGF polypeptides modified with water-soluble polymers in covalent bond states, and the VGF-fused peptides fused to IgG constant domains.
