According to the prior art, the individual components of a rotor, i.e. a component of an apparatus, are dismantled and coated individually. This takes considerable time. The process according to the invention coats a plurality of components of a rotor which are to be coated all at once by the rotor being in the assembled state and having all the components which are to be coated, with these components then being provided with the coating material.
