<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth-friendly method for processing and utilizing a water hyacinth by solving a serious problem of continuing abnormal proliferation of the water hyacinth with eutrophication in inland water, and restricting navigation of ship's sailing and water intake for water supply and irrigation so as to reduce and remove the water hyacinth. <P>SOLUTION: The earth-friendly method for processing and utilizing water hyacinth comprises the following process: directly conveying a great amount of water hyacinth onto the soil at a workplace via a pump or a conveyor; chipping the water hyacinth; squeezing the chipped water hyacinth; adding lactobacillus and sugar to the squeezed chips of the water hyacinth to mix them together; subjecting the mixture to rapid lactic fermentation in a hermetically sealable plastic bag under an anaerobic condition to make the mixture high-quality silage; and inexpensively delivering the obtained silage directly to cattle farmers so as to create demand for the great amount of water hyacinth to solve the problem of the water hyacinth, enable development in livestock industry, promote tropical organic agriculture via manure, and promote tropical-area industry producing non-wood pulp, ethanol, food, fodder yeast and the like to contribute to solution of the earth environmental problems. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
