<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor producing an output image of high image quality with a relatively light processing load. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor 2 does not perform processing when all pixels in an image block have a 0 value, adds fixed values (255 values) uniformly while weighting when all pixels in the image block have 255 values, and performs edge improvement processing only when the pixel values in the image block are uneven before adding the results while weighting. Since weighted addition is simplified for the background portion (region only of 0 value) and the solid painting portion (region only of 255 value) of a binary character line image, high speed image processing is realized as a whole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
