PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seal a transmission mechanism without any increase in cost and complicatedness in manufacturing the transmission mechanism. SOLUTION: A transmission housing of a hammer drill 320 is formed of three housing parts. A first housing part 380a is fitted to a second housing part 380b so that a first O-ring 382a is shut up between two parts to prevent entering of waste. The second housing part 380b holds the lower part of the transmission mechanism inside the first housing part 380a. The second housing part 380b forms a motor output opening 390 so that a motor output shaft 336 engages with the transmission mechanism. A third transmission housing 380c is fitted to the front of the first housing part 380a so that a spindle 348 is projected from the third transmission housing part 380c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
