<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of restricting installation height of an elevator structured of a hoistway and a machine room as much as possible, in an elevator device having a plurality of cars arranged in single hoistway and for operating each of the cars separately. <P>SOLUTION: In the elevator device 1A for elevating two cars 3a and 3b in the single hoistway 2, the first car 3a arranged lower is driven by driving force of a hydraulic jack 4 provided in a pit 7 of the hoistway 2, and the second car 3b arranged upper is driven by transmitting driving force of a hoisting machine 5, which is provided in a space between walls of the hoistway 2 and an elevation area of the car 3b, through a rope 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
