PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force controller for a vehicle for attaining operability according to a driver's intention. SOLUTION: The driving force controller for the vehicle is provided with an acceleration pedaling amount detection means (2), an acceleration/deceleration decision means (20) for deciding the driver's request for acceleration/deceleration, and a target driving force computation means (40) for computing the target driving force for the vehicle based on the request for acceleration/deceleration. The controller is provided with a regional attribute detection means (1) for detecting a regional attribute, a road kind decision means (30) for deciding the kind of a road on which own vehicle is traveling from the regional attribute information, and a target driving force correction means (40) for correcting so as to increase the target driving force if the kind of the road on which own vehicle is traveling is a highway and the driver requests acceleration.
