PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoprinting system capable of smoothly conveying, without trouble such as a paper jam, printing paper that includes the trailing end of the roll of printing paper and is longer than regular printing paper in the direction of conveyance, or so-called paper-end paper. SOLUTION: In printing station 3, when a paper-end paper is conveyed, a CPU 31 sets an imaginary trailing end, which is extended upstream from the position of a trailing end detected by sensors 28a and 28b. In conveying mechanisms 22 to 24 located downstream, CPUs 32 to 34 control the conveyance of the paper-end paper by using the position of the imaginary trailing end as a reference.
