摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excess temperature drop of a thermal head in an image forming device such as a thermal printer or the like using the thermal head, and a method for correcting the energizing time data of a heating element in the thermal printer. SOLUTION: The thermal printer comprises a ROM 11 storing a thermal history correction table, a RAM 12 storing density energizing time data of data before one line immediate before and data before two lines with respect to a line to be printed and storing the density energizing time data before correction of the current line to be printed including a remarkable dot T, and a control unit which compares the density energizing time date of the data before one line and the data before two lines, the density energizing time data before correcting dots T1, T2 on both sides of the remarkable dot T and the energizing time data before correcting the remarkable dot T, with the density energizing time data of the remarkable dot T, to select reference data. Furthermore, the control unit corrects and calculates the energizing time data before correcting the remarkable dot T using the selected reference data to calculate the energizing time data of the remarkable dot T to be printed.
