BAND EQUALIZING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CASCADE CONNECTION NETWORK, AND SWITCHING HUB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band equalizing method for a cascade connection network enabling the equal allocation of bands to all terminals in cascade connection at a low cost by simple setting. SOLUTION: The band equalizing method for equally providing bands to terminals connected to each of switching hubs HUB[1] to [5] in cascade connection in a LAN calculates the number NUof the terminals connected to user ports of each switching hub and the number NDof the terminals connected to subordinate networks connected to downlink ports. Each switching hub sets communications traffic from a user port to an uplink port and communications traffic from a downlink port to the uplink port in response to a ratio of the number NUof the terminals to the number NDof the terminals.
