The insulating unit has an insulating sheath (2) made of insulating material e.g. mineral wool, a lamination of aluminum foil, glass fleece. An inner contour of the sheath defines two circular retaining cavities for retaining two parallely arranged pipelines. The inner contour is complementary to the pipelines` shape. A radial slit (6) is provided along a longitudinal direction of the insulating sheath for mounting of the insulating unit.
