An operating room terminal comprises a point indication position detector which has an image display provided with a predetermined display screen and an input operation receiver adapted for receiving an input operation and so disposed at a place as not to obstruct the display screen of the image display and can detect the position of a point indicating object such as a finger tip present within a surface area close and parallel to the display screen in a noncontact way and command generating means for generating an operation command corresponding to the position of the point indicating object detected by the point indication position detector and the moving mode. A three-dimensional image is rotated through the operation of moving the point indicating object such as a finger tip along the display screen, and a desired cross-section image of the patient on the three-dimensional image is displayed on the screen of the image display in the operating room.
