<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured reflection type light emitting diode with improved heat dissipation capability. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection type light emitting diode 1 comprises a light emitting device 10, a reflecting substrate 11 having a concave reflecting surface 11A which is disposed to face a light emitting surface 10A of the light emitting diode 10, and a pair of leads 12A, 12B which are disposed on an opening of the reflecting surface 11A to supply power to the light emitting device 10. A heat dissipation unit 13 for dissipating the heat generated by the light emitting diode 10 is provided on the top face of the pair of leads 12A, 12B, and the light emitting diode 10 is mounted on the heat dissipation unit 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
