<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of transferring gas to be measured to a gas sensor element surely and quickly, and preventing a damage of the gas sensor element caused by adhesion of condensate or direct inflow of the gas to be measured. <P>SOLUTION: A gas side cover 4 constituting this gas sensor 1 is formed to have a double structure of an outside cover 4a and an inside cover 4b. The first gas inflow hole 4a1 is bored singly on the side surface of the outside cover 4a, and the second gas inflow hole 4b1 is formed singly or plurally on the side surface of the inside cover 4b, and the first gas inflow hole 4a1 is faced toward the gas inflow side. The outside cover 4a is mounted rotatably on a housing 2, and the first gas inflow hole 4a1 can be faced easily toward the gas inflow side by mutual magnetic forces of magnetism generation means provided on the outside cover 4a and an exhaust manifold 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
