<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method capable of generating a user interest reflection type search result designator showing meaning of a sentence and having good readability. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of documents are specified (S115) based on several search words (S110), and a sentence in each document is specified based on the search words (S120-S125). When an abstract transformer is applied to the specified sentence based on the search words and user interest information (S105), an abstract is created so that a component to be held with priority is left among the original sentence (S135), and using the abstract obtained as a result, a search result designator is generated (S140).
