<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusion member and a translucent type screen having the same which increase contrast and which reduce stripe inferior quality. <P>SOLUTION: The light diffusion member 10 includes at least a base member 11, a light diffusion part 12 provided on the base member and for diffusing an incident light from the base member by total reflection, and a colored layer 13 provided on the light diffusion part. The light diffuser 12 includes a light absorber 16 in which a resin containing a light absorption material is charged into a multitude of approximately V-like grooves 15 tapering off toward the base member, and the light diffusion member 10 in which the colored layer 13 is formed directly or via a thin adhesion layer on the light diffuser 12 solves the problem. Preferably, the refractive index of the colored layer 13 is the same or approximately the same as the refractive index of the resin constituting the light absorber 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
