PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybenzazole molded product of which many studies are conducted for developing new uses, such as a magnetic tape, an insulating film for electric and electronic parts, and a liquid crystal orientation film, and which has small anisotropy in characteristics, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This polybenzazole molded product which is molded out of a polybenzazole which has at least any one type of specific four polybenzazole repeating units is provided. Molecular chains in the molded product are disordered and a degree of orientation A of the molecular chains of the polybenzazole is less than 0.60, wherein the degree of orientation A is calculated by A=(180-ΔB)/180 (ΔB is a half-value width in an intensity distribution in an azimuthal direction of 0°to 360°, when the molded product is measured according to X-ray diffraction measurement by fixing a peak scattering angle).
