PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the quantity of light properly in a short time by a simplified device constitution. SOLUTION: An image processing part 110 of this inspection device 1 adjusts the brightness of an image acquired by a camera and displays it on a monitor 54. A brightness information calculation means calculates the brightness in a reference domain of the image when the image acquired by the camera is displayed on the monitor 54. A dimming table shows a relation between the quantity of incident light into the camera and a dimming level adjusted by control of the quantity of incident light. A dimming level changing quantity calculation means calculates the changing quantity of the dimming level to the image based on the brightness and the dimming table. A light quantity control information generation means compares the changing quantity of the dimming level with the present dimming level, and generates light quantity control information relative to the quantity of light to be changed.
