PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of ink from a hollow communication pipe and breaking of the communication pipe due to the protruding of the communication pipe from an ink tank in an ink supply system which is coupled to the ink tank by the communication pipe provided in the ink tank. SOLUTION: The movable communication pipe 60 is provided in the ink tank 10. The communication pipe 60 is projected from the inner section of the ink tank by a pushing member of a recording head to be inserted in the recording head, and then a liquid can be conveyed from the ink tank to the recording head.
