PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a broadcast program recording device which can easily perform automatic program search in reproducing a recorded program, easily perform editing to erase an unnecessary part, and reliably perform video recording even when the broadcast time of the reserved broadcast program is changed, when the broadcast program is timer recorded. SOLUTION: A timer recording management part 3 sets a time, which is obtained by subtracting a start margin from a set video recording start time which is set in setting timer recording, as an actual recording start time and sets a time, which is obtained by adding an end margin to a set video recording end time, as an actual recording end time. A video recorder 5 performs video recording between the actual recording start time and the actual recording end time, so as to generate a video recording data stream.
