PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus in which the switching work of a coating gun corresponding to the shape of a material to be coated such as an outer wall material is accurately and easily carried out even in spite of a simple structure and coating efficiency and coating precision are improved. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus (1) for coating the materials (51) (52) to be coated which are carried by a conveyer (50) or the like while relatively moving the coating guns (2) toward the lateral direction nearly orthogonal to the carrying direction of the material (51) (52) to be coated is provided with link mechanisms (21) supporting the coating guns (2), cylinders (26) for moving the coating guns (2) to change over the inclination of the coating guns (2) in the lateral direction with respect to the vertical direction by operating the link mechanisms (21) and an operation part (39) for changing over the extension state of the cylinder (26).
