The detection interface modules (10) have two electrodes (12,12') for obtaining the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal of a subject. Optical probe sets (16) selectively combined with a detection electrode, obtain photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal of the subject. A module (20) processes the obtained ECG and PPG signal in analog mode. A conversion unit (30) converts the analog signals into digital format. A module (40) processes the digital signal to obtain ECG and blood-vessel parameters. A display unit (50) displays the ECG and blood-vessel parameters, and a powers-supply module (60) supplies power to all components. An independent claim is also included for detection interface module.
