INKJET RECORDING PAPER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording paper which improves the conveyability of a sheet or roll item to a satisfactory level in any environment, while maintaining a high glossiness, and also reduces piling-up of sheets of the inkjet recording paper or liability to flaw the surfaces thereof in handling after printing, and an image forming method using it.

SOLUTION: The inkjet recording paper comprises two or more ink absorbing layers on one or both sides of a water-resistant substrate. The ink absorbing layer being the most apart from the substrate contains at least two kinds of spherical organic polymer particulates (A) and (B) of which the glass transition temperatures (Tg) are 70°C or above and the average particle diameters of the particulates (A) and (B) are 8-25 μm and 0.5-5 μm respectively. The film thickness of the ink absorbing layer being the most apart from the substrate is 5-12 μm.
