DESULFURIZING AGENT FOR FUEL OIL CONTAINING ORGANIC SULFUR COMPOUND AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HYDROGEN FOR FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurizing agent which is capable of efficiently desulfurizing a sulfur portion contained in an organic sulfur compound-containing fuel oil to a extremely low concentration at a temperature of ≤80°C enabling to produce hydrogen by a steam reforming, an autothermal reforming or a partial-oxydation-reforming treatment for suppressing a poisoning of a reforming catalyst.

SOLUTION: The desulfurizing agent for a hydrocarbon compound made by supporting Ag on a porous carrier and the support quantity of Ag is 0.5-50 mass% and a molar quantity of nitrogen contained in the desulfurizing agent is 10-100% of the molar quantity of the Ag.
