<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization apparatus that can carbonize chipped waste wood smoothly in a high thermal efficiency, can be easily cleaned, and can be freely transported. <P>SOLUTION: The carbonization apparatus 1 is one comprising carbonization cylinders 3, 3... that carbonize chipped waste wood while conveying it with screws 2, 2...; a combustion furnace 4 that encloses the carbonization chambers 3, 3... and heats them; a combustion chamber 5 that feeds a high-temperature gas into the combustion furnace 4; an exhaust apparatus 6 that discharges the high-temperature gas from the combustion furnace 4; a dust collector 7 that collects dust formed in the carbonization cylinders 3, 3...; an engine-driven generator 8 for driving the screws 2, 2...; and an air compressor 9 that feeds air into the combustion chamber 5, wherein the four carbonization cylinders 3, 3... are enclosed in the combustion furnace 4 while they are arranged in two rows in each of two stages in such a manner that the downstream ends of the upper-stage carbonization cylinders 3A and 3A of the carbonization cylinders 3, 3... are connected to the upstream ends of the lower-stage carbonization cylinders 3B and 3B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
